The care and compassion from all staff members is evident from the moment you are admitted. I spent 3 weeks there after complications set in following surgery. I would recommend SJOG Murdoch to anyone & everyone. Without a doubt, the staff from top to bottom & vice versa will do whatever it takes to get you well.

After fasting for 12 hours, I woke from my surgery to no food except a burger my wife had left 5 hours before, after almost splitting my stitches coughing up the dry bun, I was given the weakest painkillers known to man, still havnt been offered any thing to eat. I got zero sleep, due to my agony, and waited 3 hours for a nurse to bring me a sleeping pill that didn't work. I actually got up in the morning and left because I was starving and needed some decent painkillers that I had at home. Also on another note, I was in a shared room, that may sound arrogant, but when you pay $3600 a year in private health, these are the little things that help.

Staff great doing best they can .theres no doubts there understaffed . Taking short brakes I doubt some had more then drinks brake while on shift. Causing things to be missed Sad see Australian Hospital system treating people like this.

Do not use this hospital. I WOKE UP with proponal full vial sitting in my arm.. ready to inject. Healthcare comes second to profit for some organisations. I wouldnt let my dog get treated here unless she had top private health insurance and as a last resort...or we would be bankrupted or worse . I have never been treated so poorly.

No communication between doctors and admin. Neither of them had any idea what was going on and at one point the admin manager argued with the doctors receptionist on my phone about communication.

My husband has had multiple surgeries in different hospitals and has always been taken straight to his room about 15 minutes after arrival to wait there comfortably until surgery, not stuck in a chair for hours!

Husband booked in for knee surgery and told to be there at 11am by three different people in the days before surgery. After almost two hours waiting in admissions with no word from anyone about what's going on, we questioned the wait time only for the admin staff to get quite annoyed with us for asking. Told that some patients come in at 6.30am and sit in admin for up to 8 hours.

Not a way to treat private hospital patients. Only after we complained was my husband transferred to a waiting bed in a large room with about 8 other patients for another three hours before surgery.
